Water flows through 6 stages of filtration

Step 1: Water passes through a one-micron filter pad that removes particles such as silt, sediment, cysts (Giardia, Cryptosporidium), sand, rust, dirt, and other suspended materials. 

Step 2: Water flows through granulated activated carbon (GAC) made from coconut shells (Arsenic-Free GAC™). GAC is widely recognized and regularly used as an effective adsorbent to remove various organic pollutants, pesticides, chemicals, pharmaceutical residues, bad taste, and odor from drinking water.

Step 3: Water passes through ion exchange resin, which reduces heavy metals such as lead, copper, aluminum, and water hardness.

Step 4 & 5: Water flows through a bed of media made from a special high-purity alloy blend (Eagle Redox Alloy® 6500 and Eagle Redox Alloy® 9500). Chlorine and chloramines are immediately and almost completely oxidized.

Step 6: Water passes through an additional micron filtration pad for further reduction of unwanted particles. The end result is a significant reduction or total elimination of various contaminants.
